There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven

(Ecclesiastes 3:1-6)

Hey beautiful

Have you ever caught yourself wrestling with God’s timing?

I sure have.

Abraham’s story hits close to home for me.

God called him three times—yes three, according to Genesis and Acts. And even though he wasn’t always obedient or truthful, God still called him a man of faith.

Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.

(Rom 4:3)

This is very comforting to me. It reminds me of God’s mercy.

Abraham had his moments of fear, just like we do. He lied about Sarah being his wife because he was scared.

He tried to force God’s promise into his own timeline with Ishmael. Honestly, I get it. Waiting is hard.

Abraham’s story is comforting, and also convicting. It makes me realize I do the same thing.

“God, I need this now! Please make it happen my way. Why do I have to wait so long when everyone around me seems to be getting their promises?”

It’s kinda like I’m trying to write my own story instead of trusting God’s story for me and His timing. There have been times I’ve resisted my own story, felt like a victim, and despised it.

But I love how God didn’t give up on Abraham.

God patiently taught Abraham to let go, little by little. (And when I say patiently, I mean God taught him over many yearrrsssssss.)

And you can see Abraham start to change.

He let Lot take the best land without a fight, a clear sign that he was learning to surrender his desires and trust God’s plan.

God’s promises come exactly when they’re supposed to—not a second early, not a second late.

This week, as I read Abraham’s story, God made me sit in silence, reflecting on it deeply.

I realized—I am Abraham.

I’ve created many Ishmael’s that God never asked me to because I struggle with waiting and being still.

At times, I’m even Lot’s wife, looking back again and again, longing for what I had, even though I wasn’t truly happy then.

Some days, I forget to be grateful to the Lord for saving me from myself and leading me into this new land. I’ve had to repent for my complaining and murmuring. And when I return to gratitude, I feel so much lighter and filled with joy.

When I thank God for His presence and the blessings I already have, my intellect takes a back seat, and the Prince of Peace is able to take His rightful seat on the throne of my heart.

Hey, I’m Sarah Rose

the girl behind Woman of Faith

Jesus has my heart, I love my Jack Russell, Bear, and all things creative and beautiful.

After striving on my own and facing heartbreak after heartbreak, I found myself brought to my knees in my dad’s living room, crying out to God. That moment marked the beginning of my journey back to my first love—Jesus.

I’m here to help women encounter His love and be transformed in their identity, so they can walk powerfully in their anointing.
