Hey, I’m Sarah Rose

the girl behind Woman of Faith

Jesus has my heart, I love my Jack Russell, Bear, and all things beautiful and creative.

Growing up in a Christian household was far from perfect. It felt like I was constantly walking on eggshells, void of love, and gripped by fear. This eventually hardened my heart and led me down a path of rebellion.

It was God’s gift of creativity that led me to study graphic design in 2012, eventually launching my own business. But after striving and working hard to prove myself, as well as facing heartbreak after heartbreak, I found myself brought to my knees in my dad’s living room, crying out to God.

That moment marked the beginning of my journey back to my first love—Jesus.

Our gifts are from Him, they have purpose and are meant to bring Him glory.

God needed me to not only know, intellectually, that I am a royal daughter of the King—He needed me to accept my crown and walk humbly and unapologetically in my true identity. And this, I’ve learned, is impossible without an encounter of His love.

I’m here to help women encounter God’s love, be transformed in their identity and walk powerfully in their anointing.

Jesus lover

Jesus has my heart. <3 He must always be King on the throne of our hearts—no other idol is worth it.

Creative

God, the ultimate Creator, gave us the gift of creativity. I’ve always loved art, especially back in school. One day, I’d love to trade the computer for a pencil and pad again.

Project orientated

I thrive on passion projects. Having something to pour my energy into keeps me motivated and inspired.

Heart for people

For a long time, I didn’t realize my sensitive heart was a gift from God. Though it can be painful at times, I’ve learned that God treasures a broken and contrite heart. He will never despise it.

Things I’m currently into

God is everything <3 I put my faith and hope in Him. He’s carried me through many hard times, teaching me to dream and trust in His provision and timing.

Eating healthy and staying fit makes me feel good, sharp, happy, and energized. I believe the first step to recovering from many mental health challenges is moving your body in a way that feels good to you. For me, it’s the gateway to a healthy mind.

Books. I love them so much—probably because I love to learn (and enjoy a cover’s graphic design). Bonus points if there’s a café attached to a bookstore—I could easily spend all day there. It’s definitely my happy place.

The small, pretty things—be it notepads, smooth writing pens, or cozy spaces at home filled with plants and pastel pink pot pots—always bring me joy.

Helping women who are suffering from oppression or heartbreak. My heart is to guide them to God, help them discover their identity, passion, and gifts, and uncover their God-ordained purpose in life. Then, encourage them to walk boldly in it.

I’d love to get back into cooking. I loved baking when I was younger. These days I desire to be at home and live a simple life. We’ll see what the Lord has in store.

The journey so far:

2012

Enrolled into design college

A few nights a week I studied design at a small college on the Gold Coast offering graphic design, interior design and photography classes. What a joy this was! I was absolutely thriving integrating my love for learning and design.

2014

Travelled overseas

Soon after I finished design school I got a new job at another accountancy firm, however, when I found out my brother and sister in law were honeymooning in Mexico, I decided to join them. Thus began my love for Mexican food.

2015

Fumbled my way through life and into business

On the plane back home from my overseas summer trip, I had been fired from my corporate accounting job via an email, so I began work on my graphic design from my bedroom in Australia. This led me down a path of striving and burning out, running from my problems through travel, partying and dating, which led me back to God’s feet <3

2020

Disaster hits

Another failed relationship, the impact of COVID on my design business, and moving back home to my dad’s house felt like a domino effect, toppling every area of my life—financially, friendships, romantic relationships, and even family dynamics. When everything seemed to unravel, it forced me to question my life deeply and ultimately pushed me to seek God. It was the worst time of my life and the start of God, which turned into the best time of my life. I was putting God back to first place, and He was about to reset my priorities and restore my heart in Him. <3
